The Discovery Call Script That Actually Gets Clients.

Most people go into discovery calls trying to sell. That's the mistake.

A discovery call should feel like a conversation, not a pitch. Here's the structure I teach:

  1. Start with connection — 2 minutes, warm and human.

  2. Ask about their situation — 'Tell me a bit about your business and what's happening right now.'

  3. Dig into the pain — 'What's the biggest thing getting in the way of where you want to be?'

  4. Paint the picture — 'If that problem was solved, what would change?'

  5. Present your solution — only after you truly understand their problem.

  6. Handle objections with curiosity, not defence.

  7. Give a clear next step — never end without one.

This structure works because it puts the client's needs at the centre.
